| September 18, 2012 afternoon, the China-Africa Cooperation Forum was hold in Beijing , in the China Africa Agricultural Investment Association’s conference room. A conference on China’s and Congo’s (DRC) farming, agricultural technology training, food security, water conservancy, rural construction, fisheries, biofertilizer, etc, was a good setting for friendly negotiations. Among the people attending the meeting were : Congo (DRC) Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development , Mr. Jean Chrisostome Vahamwiti Mukesyayira, Mr. Henri Paul Liyongo Isamba of the Minister's cabinet, Mr. Gabriel Kombozi Limbeya of the National Aquac ulture Office, Mr. Evariste Bushabu Bopeming expert from the Office of Agriculture and Fisheries, Mr Seth Esembekele Lokeka direct or of the Liaison Department, Assistant Minister Mr David. And the Chinese attendants were : China-Africa investment Association Chang Nan , Congo (DRC) Branch president Yang Guanglie, Vice President Liu Peng , Secretary-General Su Zhaoquan , China's 12th Five Year Plan Environmental Planning Group team leader Xia Qing, Pei Daxiang, director of multinational Foundation Europe and Africa of the Ministry of Commerce; Houde Cheng of the Chinese Association for Quality Agricultural Products, Beijing Urban Construction Group Overseas Engineering Department secretary Wang Li, The conference was chaired by the China-Africa investment Association, Congo (DRC) branch president Yang Guanglie. First, the Congolese Minister of Agriculture gave a warm speech, explaining in detail to the participants the agricultural status quo in Congo and the plans development, requiring help from China, so as to promote the rapid development of agriculture in the DRC . He proposed, to learn from China’s experience in agricultural development, to create the Congo (DRC) Agricultural Demonstration Park, promoting China's advanced agricultural technology, agricultural training, and more skilled workers. He hopes that more Chinese enterprises would come to invest in the Congo (DRC). They will put in place a series of incentives to attract Chinese investors. Xia Qing, president of the Congo (DRC) Agricultural Delegation put forward constructive comments, which got the unanimous recognition and attention from the Congolese delegation. The meeting in a pleasant atmosphere then came to a successful conclusion. |
